Konocti Vista Casino RV Park

2755 Mission Rancheria Road
Lakeport, CA 95453
(707) 262-1900
11/2/2010 & 9/3/2013

2013 visit we paid $22.23 using our Good Sam 10% discount for the same site and not much had changed.  We did notice a few more sites were occupied by long term visitors and they had an attitude that the rules were not intended for them.  They allowed dogs to roam, big ones and taking up extra sites for vehicles and patios but we would still return and we would recommend it to others.

Again we took CA-29 South to Napa Valley which was recommended and there was about 10 miles of real hard nail biting switchbacks and turns and this time we had construction to deal with which made it a bit more adventurous.  Around one curve a semi crossed the yellow line and just about took a few feet off of our Maggie's side.  They actually state on the warning signs that it is a good road for up to 65'...NO WAY!!!

We paid $20.44 for a FHU including cable, using our Good Sam 10% Discount, then received $5 play money on our gaming card for the Casino. They also accept, Escapees, AMA (American Motorcyclist Assoc.), AARP & AAA for a 10% discount.

The Casino is small and not too many slot machines to choose from, but had a real friendliness about it and the slots were loose, we played until way after midnight and had a blast.

The RV Park was adequate and located right next to the casino, so they did not offer a shuttle. There was security visible, but not at the wee hours in the morning that we were heading back to our rig. We really like the convenience of a shuttle because it was really cold when we left the casino.

The showers and laundry facilities were clean and maintained and located in a building upon entering the RV Park area, they were coded for access. This being off season, there were only a half a dozen others, a few looked more like seasonals because of all the junk on their sites but the park was well manicured.

We stayed only one night and if we are ever in the area again, we would stay here but we would not go out of our way.

Please note: Hwy 175 is NOT recommended for RV's or vehicles with large trailers. It is a narrow, winding, mountain road with tight corners. Please consider alternative routes, Hwy 20 or 29. OUR NOTE: We took 29 North and it was not that great either, not sure how bad 175 is but either way, you will have a few nail biting experiences if heading North to the casino. As we left the casino, heading on 29 North, it was a breeze, no winding curves to contend with at all.

It is also advisable when entering the parking lot to go to the right to the registration area before going left to the RV Park area. The hotel/RV Park registration is not located in the casino, it is located across the parking lot and it was cold and damp. Better to drive to it, then go and set up.

They had NO written Pet Policy, but luckily all the pets we seen, the owners had them on a leash.

Check out all of our photos at our Picasa Web Albums.

Even with a pet with LOVE the leash law! It's been fun keeping track of you and the work you're doing. We've definitely decided not to do a pumpkin patch. Sure wish you had made it to the beautiful state of Washington but there's always another time.
