We paid $40 per night for a back in, actually a pull IN site since the poles were shared and if we backed into our site none of our hookups would have reached.

There is no room for anything on the sites, you are crammed in and they were packed...neighbors sloshing into our site and when we got the van, we were sloshing out into the road which got us all a warning on our windshields nightly.

We had been thinking about staying here for years and every time they were booked but finally got to reserve and we soon regretted it but had no choice since there were absolutely NO refunds of any kind given.

The pull through sites were on grass that were beyond wet and you could see how many folks got stuck, at least our sites were gravel so no chance of sinking into the wet mud.

We will not stay here again, even though it is the best choice in this area, we would rather stay 50 miles away at a much nicer park and travel to where we would be working.

This is one of those places you wished were a chain but it is the only location and there are so many great items on the menu to try. If we would have tried this place the first day we arrived in the area, we would have eaten here every day, but unfortunately we found this place on our last day in the area.

The Blueberry Iced Tea, unsweetened was outstanding.

It was lunch so we had sandwiches and they split them in the kitchen, we also had Garlic Fries and Cajun Fries and everything was fantastic.

San Francisco Sourdough Crab & Artichoke – Toasted sourdough, crab, artichokes, onions, parmesan, tomatoes, avocado, jack cheese

New Orleans Shrimp & Crawfish Po’boy Royale – Battered shrimp and crawfish, Cajun remoulade, lettuce, tomato, on a soft roll

Instead of mints at the end of the meal, they serve a heaping helping of Cotton Candy...

We highly recommend this establishment and whenever in our future plans we are in the area, we will definitely try other items on the menu.

Was not impressed with the meal or the service…There was nothing wrong with either but nothing was outstanding. We hardly seen our server but at the same time, we didn’t need anything.

I had one of the Fresh Mex Bowls and the flavors were just okay, sort of blah.

Jerry had the Smokehouse Combo and again it was okay, but nothing outstanding.

If we are ever in the area again, we will eat right next door at Eddie Papa's American Hangout where the service and the food is outstanding.

2017 Update - We paid $44.15 using our Good Sam 10% discount and things have improved slightly but the other choice was so much worse so we opted to stay here again.

2013 Update - We paid $44.15 for a good size pull through and it seems there have been change in management or something since the place was now getting really shabby looking.  The laundry room was a pig sty and we had to wash off the machines before we could even use them and it didn't look as if it was recent dirt, but instead a long time since even being cleaned at all and unfortunately the restrooms looked the same.  Our electricity at our site was iffy but we muddled through for the night.  We will not be making this our stop the next time, there is another park in the area that we will consider.

What a difference a year makes…the last time we were here they had a special rate of $25…today for a water, electric and sewer, back-in with cable and WiFi, it cost us $40 per night. They still do the 10% discount, but that only takes care of the California taxes, no other memberships were accepted.

The area still smelled like garlic, especially in the morning and evenings. The park is very clean and well maintained. The sites are concrete and very level with a patio or extra vehicle pad. We did not use their cable or WiFi since our Verizon MiFi worked perfectly.

We did our laundry in the laundry room which had 6 front load washers and dryers that did our wash well. The restrooms were updated and kept very clean.

They seem to adhere to their Pet Policy which states, “All pets must be on a leash & with you at all times when outside of your RV. No outside fencing or kennels. You must immediately clean up after your pet. Barking and aggressive dogs will not be tolerated or ALLOWED.” They had posted several copies of this and other policies noting that some were not obeying this policy and they will do whatever it takes to assure all is adhering to their policies.

If we are ever in the area again, we would stop here again.

We have added new photos to our Picasa Web Albums...check them out!

We left Pacifica, California and began our journey back to the desert looking for the closest Super Wal-Mart. It was in Gilroy, California so we set our GPS and we were on the road again. It was under a hundred miles but we knew we would be shopping for hours so we chose to stay at the Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park in no other than Gilroy, California. The name should have given us a clue but after shopping for hours we walked out of the store and the smell was so strong, we smelled it on us for days to come. We love garlic, we use to eat it a lot more but we still eat it every chance we get, we just never have experienced such a continuous smell of it.

The Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park was located just a few blocks from the Super Wal-Mart, which made it very convenient for us. The park had a special rate going on of $25 per night for a back-in FHU, but then took an additional 10% off if you had Good Sam, AAA, FMCA, CTPA but also would take off 10% just by mentioning a discount, something that has been unheard of in California…deals…let alone a good deal. Friendliest host we have met in a very long time, he has been there for years and advertises, “Home of the Full Hookup”. They have free cable, free wifi, shower houses and free ice in the laundry room, along with water, electric and sewer. Very well maintained park…again…more like a resort.

If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again.
