Wine Tasting - February 2012

Twisted Wine Cellars Spain Moscato - Surprisingly a delicate, sweet flavor. We will look for this one in the future.

Scenic River Riesling Qualitatswein 2007 - Crispness with a dry after taste, not one of our favorites even though we love the artistic bottle that the artist and wine-grower Heinz Ames paints with the Riesling wine which he grows on the steep slopes of the Mosel Valley.

Blufeld Riesling 2010 - Citrus, floral and peach with a pungent flavor at first, but then smooths out in the end. Light and crispy with a medium sweetness.

Lucky Duck Sauvignon Blanc - Dry with a clear finish. Refreshing taste that would be perfect with seafood or a fresh salad.

Arbor Mist Mango Strawberry Moscato - Very low alcohol content, low cost just makes it a very fun drink. Sweet and very light tasting.

Being really light drinkers nowadays, we can only handle two, possibly three glasses of wine and definitely no hard liquor anymore but we like tasting other types and got really lucky when friends turned us onto these frozen drinks. They are really low percentage of alcohol and quite tasty, a perfect drink when the weather gets too hot and taste just like the real frozen drinks made with the liquor.

Absolutely love the frozen Dailey's but they are available everywhere. I did discover another new one from Sam's Club. It's Sutter Homes Pink Moscato and takes like kool-aid!!

We will put that one on our list of flavors to try and we will begin to put the prices in our reviews...we believe that is an important factor of deciding on a wine on our budget.
