Baby It’s Cold Outside

We arrived on April 25th, began work on May 1st and the weather has been frigid. We just finished our first week and even though we are both in pain, we have to admit it was a great week. These old bones just ain’t what they used to be, and we are readjusting our ways of doing things to accommodate our new way of life, everything is deliberate, so we don’t do any more harm to our current situations. Getting older is not for the weak, we will find our way through this as we have with every other obstacle life has given us.

I don’t think we will ever get tired of the marvelous scenery here just in the resort itself. It is breathtaking everyday, and also different depending on the skies.

For now, we are on 4-day work weeks, which gives us plenty of time to not only get our honey do’s completed, but also time to check out the areas. Laundry is included in our contract, so we get a cup of marked quarters to get this done, and the laundry facilities are top notched. We are really happy campers, enjoying the work, the management, the coworkers, and the guests. It’s going to be a great summer.

These are a few of the sites at Polson Motorcoach Resort, only for Class A motorhomes. We are actually 2 separate businesses, but we all work them both from the same office.

The other part of this place is Polson / Flathead Lake KOA Holiday, which is one of the nicest KOA’s we have worked or even stayed. They have so many awards, and it’s very easy to see why. We are so blessed to be able to spend our summer here.

This week due to the wet weather we chose to drive around Flathead Lake for an overnight stay at Glacier International Lodge in Kalispell. Customer service was excellent, allowing us an early checkin. Our bed was very comfortable, the chair was not, but the walk-in shower was magnificent. The hot tub was hot, and jets were strong, and the pool was cooling. Exactly what both of our bodies needed…I just wish I could live in the water with more movement and no pain.

On our return we thought we would do a Walmart stop in Kalispell, but it was so busy, we chose to shop back in Polson. We drove around the other side of the Flathead Lake; it was such a beautiful drive.
