Not the greatest KOA but not
the worst either but it was a holiday weekend and we were happy to get the last
available site.
We paid $41.59 for a very SHORT pull through with water, 30amp electric and sewer on gravel that was fairly
flat with a concrete patio, picnic table and charcoal grill. They did not offer any free WiFi or cable.
The place is rustic with
trees everywhere but we were lucky to get an end site without any trees, so
that meant NO shade but we had a place to stay for the night.
Our neighbor had a yapper
dog and she was sitting right there outside reading and allowed it to continue
to bark for over an hour. We took a walk to the office for ice and when we
mentioned it to the guy on duty, he shrugged his shoulder and said quiet time
was not until 10pm, and it was only 7pm…REALLY! So I grabbed a few treats they had for dogs on the counter and went
to our neighbor and asked the lady with a smile if I could give the dog one and
as I said that I also stated that it might just quiet it down since the barking
had been non-stop now for at least an hour and she apologized and then we noticed
she took the dog inside…PROBLEM SOLVED! With no help from the staff.
We would definitely find
another place to stay if we are ever looking in this area again.
