New Adventures

We interviewed with this company last year but just could not find the best moment to get started but finally that day arrived.

We have scheduled several shows which are 11 days at Sam’s Club selling bags of frozen delight. The show in Palm Desert, California we had 6 flavors that included, Margarita, Pina Colado, Strawberry Daiquiri, Mojito, Peach Bellini, and Sangria. The show in Bullhead City included all of the above plus a Peach Margarita.

We believe it could be a lucrative opportunity and it really isn’t hard work, the hours on the weekends are 10+ and only 8 during the week for 11 days. The only really big negative for us so far is the setup the night before. We have to wait until the store closes at 8:30pm which isn’t all that bad since it only takes about an hour to setup but we have to wait for the night manager to arrive which so far has been closer to 9:30 and then by the time they figure out where they want to put us takes another half hour. The first show we didn’t get out until after midnight, our setup was quicker on the second show so we got out by 10:30.

We work very independently which is something we love, our setup and supplies get delivered directly to the store so we do not haul them ourselves which is another plus. It’s a fun product that we love to sell and we are meeting some really great people. We are able to pick and choose which stores we work and the timing for the most part so we look for stores nearby a RV Resort we like and we ride our bikes into work. Palm Desert was a 5 mile ride but Bullhead City is only a 1 mile ride, we hope to always keep the mileage under 5.

We will be heading to Sacramento area once we are done here in the heated desert in Bullhead City for a cool down and plan to work a few shows with Lt Blender and another one with PepWear before we need to begin our journey to PepWear in September for that adventure.

Life is certainly beginning to go our way and we hope it continues. We still need to figure out our next phase of this lifestyle with replacing Maggie with something but we are still just waiting and seeing what comes to light. In the meantime we continue patching and praying that the old girl continues to give us her best so we can continue doing our best.
