Not Looking Forward to Bill's Arrival

A hurricane has always been a possibility being on this sandbar, or better known as the Outer Banks in North Carolina, but we have always hoped it would not happen. It is still possible that if Bill’s Projected Path is on target we may not have to evacuate. But, how comfortable are we going to be knowing it is just miles off the coast and what sort of waves and/or weather will it bring. If the weather forecasters were more predictable, we would not be so worried but there have been too many natural disasters lately that were “unexpected” and we do not want to be in the middle of that scenario.

We only have 20 more days until we are to get back on the main land traveling once again and for us it could not get here soon enough. We have enjoyed our time here, the weather has been great, the people have been marvelous, and the management is superb but we are so ready to get back on the road again and now with this hurricane…well…we are just a bit more anxious to head out.

We spent the day preparing our rig for departure, just in case it comes earlier than expected, saying a little prayer and keeping our fingers crossed that Bill doesn’t come close to us!

Good Luck! Bills aren't too welcome at my house either!
