Our Relaxation Time

We had a few weeks to spare, so we found one of our membership parks in Delta, Utah to just sort of hang out. It’s in the middle of nowhere but we made it work by doing a few honey do’s, cleaning out the desert dust from every nook and cranny, and also finding relax time too.

We had a few complicated days here at this park, noisy neighbors for a few days, and one day we woke up to a fire behind us. It was actually a prescribed burn that the park was doing and it was only feet away from us and the bellowing smoke was coming right into our windows, we were not happy as I was choking, coughing and wheezing all day. We told them we would move but they did not want us to move so they put the fire out, which of course took them a few hours. It was not a good day.

This place is definitely off the beaten path so no road noise, and it was quiet, except for the train rumble and every once in awhile the train horn but it was not too intrusive at all and of course the two year old in Jerry LOVED every moment.

In Utah, all liquor and wine has to be purchased at the Utah State Liquor Store and every town big or small has one and we found our all time favorite wine in town.  We never know where we will find it, there aren’t many places we go that carry it, so we stocked up before we left the area.

Has anyone else noticed a huge difference in package deliveries? In the past year we have ordered several items to be shipped to our RV Park site and only 10% of them made it to our site, others have been delivered to incorrect sites, or they said they attempted to deliver but could not, all the time we are sitting in our motorhome waiting for delivery. It’s not just one delivery company, the same exact thing has happened with UPS, FEDEX, USPS, and even the Amazon delivery van. We have had issues in the past, but this past year has been outrageous, hopefully it improves.

It’s time to get back on the road for our final 500 miles on this journey. We have 7 days to get to West Yellowstone so we are puddle jumping and staying a few days at each stop. Life is grand!
