Actually just bears, no lions or tigers but several other different critters…
On our days off this week, we did several things, the most exciting was visiting Bear Country USA in Rapid City. It’s a drive through animal park that was at first very calming, but then it got exhilarating when we reached the bear area. Neither of us had seen so many bears in one spot EVER and they just roamed about and crossed in front of us over and over. We also seen all sorts of other animals throughout our drive which was really cool. The cost is $18 per adult, $12 per child and maximum of $65 per car load, but for us it was free with our VIP Pass we got from work.
We also revisited Crazy Horse Memorial, our first visit was in 2008. From our advantage, we don’t see much progress, we know there has always been funding issues, so maybe that is why it’s taking so long.

We did some honey do’s and we were tired, our bodies are definitely feeling the pain from standing ALL DAY on those concrete floors and them being short staffed and it getting busier…ugh! Thought we would be pouring wine for guests, but instead we are running around jumping in helping in other areas and then being scolded because I asked the kitchen to please fill our water container because I had a long line and was by myself behind the counter…frigging primadonna’s…NOT A GOOD WORK WEEK…We cut our hours to 32 in hope we will have an extra day of rest, we are now off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s every week. One day for errands, one for sightseeing and a day of rest, we think this will work out much better.
We stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Rapid City…nice apartment style with all the amenities, the only missing element was no hot breakfast due to the current circumstances, otherwise it was clean, roomy and comfortable.
More fun coming next week…
