Since they charge $45 per
night which is a total outrage, but they have a weekly rate for $150, we opted
to pay the weekly since we were going to be there for 4, possibly 5 nights.
This is a Mobile Home Park…just
because they put the RV Park at the end of their name does not make it so. They added a few back in sites in the
entrance of the park and then added it to their name. The water, electric and sewer sites they
offered were in a parking lot that backed into the playground in front of the office.
If we had any other choices
we would have taken them, but we needed a place to stay nearby the Convention
Center where we were working the weekend.
The original plan was to spend Monday night too because of the weather
but we just could not stay another night.
Our bikes were messed with, luckily they were chained together since
somebody knocked them over and they are heavy bikes so wind is not a
possibility. Not sure how that happened
but after working 15 hour shifts we did not feel safe there any longer.
We were told by the locals
that we were in the wrong part of town, this was apparent the first day when we
rode our bikes to the Convention Center through some really rough neighborhoods
and then luckily the boss set us up with a local who would then pick us up and
drop us off every working day forward.
The park has no restrooms,
showers, or laundry facilities and no pool, clubhouse or any sort of amenities
whatsoever. This is a Mobile Home Park,
nothing more and should not be allowed to advertise as a RV Park since they are
two entirely different types of places that we would not recommend and would
not stay again even if we had more work in the area.
