What a ride! We have
about $100 left in our funds so we will get creative of things to do in the
area while we relax for 14 days before we head to our next work
assignment. The weather will not be
cooperating for the first few days here…rain is forecasted and that is what we
woke up to and it continues to soak, unfortunately inside as well. We need a few days to unplug from the travels
so we will take this time to relax and clean up the rig but as soon as the
weather clears we will take a bike ride and explore.
This trip we were flying by the seat of our pants on a wing
and a prayer, not too many people could travel that way or live the lifestyle
this way but for us the alternative is just not an option. We do not want to stop traveling, we just
want to be able to be one of those couples who land that perfect job that we
enjoy and makes us a bundle of money. We
see it and hear about it all the time but for us it just hasn’t found its way
to us and that is not because we have not been looking, interviewing and
hounded certain companies but they seem to have a different type of person in
mind and we do not fit their criteria, so we continue to struggle but we always
laugh and smile through it all.
We are so blessed with so many other great things in our
lives that we find it hard to complain about lacking in the financial areas of
our lives.
We are so blessed with having found each other and that we
enjoy the same things, this lifestyle could not work if we did not work well
together and that we are so grateful for all the time. We hardly ever argue and when we disagree we
both know that we need to give and compromise so to meet somewhere in the
middle and we usually do quite quickly.
We don’t take turns compromising but it ends up being an equal give and
take for us. The most important thing
about our relationship is that we make each other laugh, especially during the
lean times. We love each other and we
love our life…it is that simple!
We are so blessed that we found our Maggie, aka our
motorhome for those of you that are not familiar with the name we call
her. She is one tough cookie. She crosses country with so much strength on
some of those wickedly rough roads that most RV’s would fall apart, but she
rides through without any issues. She
has been having some major issues with water damage to her exterior and there
is lots of dry rot and we can actually see her expanding in many places but she
stays strong and keeps us safe. These
all day soakings we have been having since landing in Myrtle Beach is not
helping with this but we hope she will continue to hold on and not blow out. We continue to patch her everywhere since
there is absolutely no way we could afford to buy a new home. That is something we continue to struggle
with but we choose to make do with what we have and to be grateful for it all.
We are so blessed when it comes to our health. Oh sure, there are times when our aches and
pains are excruciating but we work through it and we get better without doctors
or drugs, that is except for Advil and vitamins. We are healthy, happy and so much in love,
what more could we ask for? Well…we
could think of a few things but we are eternally grateful for all we do have…so
much more than many people out there in this world so no whining or complaining
from us.
We hope you all have safe travels and find the good in all
you have today and every day!

Your positive attitude is heart-warming! You made it to Myrtle Beach, yay!
Window shop the outdoor malls -- Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing. We liked browsing the kite store.
I'm glad you made it and everything is good!
Thanks Carol...it's not always easy but it sure feels better when we do maintain the positive attitude...the alternative sucks!
Boonedocks - Exactly what is on our list of things to do, but we also plan to visit a few of the wineries in the area...they offer tastings for under $5...that is once the skies stop crying!
You guys will always make it..
