The only place in town and it
had good reviews so we opted to stay one night.
We really dislike arriving at
a park during business hours and find a note stating to take any site and then
return later to settle up. While trying
to figure out which site to take, a young lady instructed us to pull into any
of the sites directly behind the office which we did. Come to find out we pulled in the opposite
way, we were supposed to go around and pull into the site which was something
the lady forgot to mention. When we went
into the office later to pay up the man behind the desk told us we would be
fine where we were since he did not expect to get busy…well that changed around
8pm when he knocked on our door to get us to move around the right direction so
he could get someone else into the site next us. We were relaxing and just about ready for
sleep but we moved anyway but were definitely not happy about it.
We paid $22.50 for a water,
electric, and sewer site with cable and WiFi using our Good Sam Discount.
We had so much laundry to do
but unfortunately they only had 2 washers and 3 dryers so we just did a couple
of loads and planned to do the rest somewhere down the road.
The restrooms were clean and
private, only one for the ladies and one for the gents and it included toilet, sink
and shower, we used our own.
There was extensive noise due
to not only the highway and the railroad tracks right next to the park but the
tracks were a main hub of some sort and the noise of the connecting and
disconnecting was loud and sudden which made us jump a few times.
Even though it seemed like an
okay place to stop for an overnight, we are not sure if we would recommend it and
we would definitely try to plan a different area to stop for the night in our
future travels along this road but would stay here again if we had no other
choice.
