Watching Adam Lambert on American Idol brought me to tears, not only because just how good he is but also because it was seeing a star being born. Watching a person who is so passionate about what he is doing was so inspiring. We still do not know what our passion is but we will not give up searching until one day we feel that power from within ourselves that we are exactly where we should be in our lives.
Whether it’s standing on a stage and singing a song, or writing an article that is inspiring to others, or taking a photo that takes your breath away, or watching a child grow into themselves. Whatever your passion is, when you are living it, it will show in the glow in your eyes, it will show with the extra zest in your step, it will show with the excitement in your voice and no matter what you do you will not be able to stop going forward.
Without passion, life is just so mundane and hard to wake up every morning, which is why we continue searching for why we were put on this earth at this moment. Some days we feel close to our destiny and then others we are so far from any hope of ever finding that place where we belong. But, we will never give up believing that we will someday be in total alignment with where we need to be in this lifetime and we will be as passionate as Adam has been all season long.

Big Al's Soda Fountain & Grill
Nothing special food wise and the ambiance was not what we had expected. The nostalgic look on the outside and the inside was incredible and we expected the service to be the same but it was a bit disappointing. The seating arrangement was a bit strange, apparently you could call in your seating and when you showed up you were immediately sat. This made it difficult to know just exactly how long the line was and when we would be seated.

Being a Mother Has Not Been an Easy Road For Me
Becoming a mother while I was still a child myself and being a single parent was not the way I had planned to have motherhood happen in my life but I accepted the challenge and moved forward.
Yes, I made mistakes, too many to even begin to name them all. I wasn’t always there for her because I was also growing up with her and learning on the way. Loving her unconditionally was never easy for me since I wanted to make sure she did not go through the pain I had gone through but by not accepting her for who she was and constantly trying to change her into who I wanted her to be was the worst mistake. I still have problems loving someone unconditionally but everyday I grow more and learn even more. I may never have the chance to see if I ever could love her unconditionally again and maybe that is for the better because I may just fail again and another separation would once again happen and I am sure that is something my heart could not take.
Life never gives you circumstances that you are unable to deal with, it may seem at first that you will never heal but eventually with plenty of meditation, prayers and perseverance, you always come out the other side wiser and so much more advanced then you ever felt possible. That is if you allow that circumstance to teach you and help you grow.
This is my Mom, she is now only here spiritually for me but it feels so good knowing she is at my side every moment of my day nudging me into being the best possible person I can be.

Dear Austin
It has been over 3 years since we have been allowed to talk or see you and we really miss you. We know that when you are able to make your own choice, you will contact us and we will be here for you. Just because we have not been able to be with you or talk with you, we are here and always will be.
We want you to know that we have attempted to call you, to see you, and to send you letters, we have apologized, we have pleaded, we have cried, but they have all been refused. This has never been our choice, we never wanted to be apart from you and we have not and never will leave you for any reason.
Life has not been the same without you, we miss you every day and every new place we go, we wish you were a part of it. We have postcards from all of the places we have visited, just couldn’t mail them to you without an address but we are saving them for you when we are finally able to see you again. We understand that this may not be until you are old enough to make your own decisions. We also know that if you could you would definitely contact us and that it is ok because we will one day again be able to share that special bond we always had, after all you will always be our first grandson and nobody can ever take that away.
We know that you are hurting daily, just as we are and yes, we do hear your prayers and your angels are there listening. Always know that we will never give up hope that we will one day soon be reunited once again.
Love always, Nana & Papa

NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month)
Yarntangler aka Marcie Hoye Cumberland, author of “The Tree at the Top of the Hill” takes on the challenge for this month once again at NaBloPoMo. We personally have never attempted to do this but know many folks who have and continue to do it and we support their efforts in any way we can.
This month’s theme is sweet. Just being sweet is a challenge in itself, let alone writing about it every day of May. Many people have took this challenge, so why don’t we give them a hand and take on the challenge of being sweet to one another which will give them something sweet to write about.
For us, there is a fine line between being sweet and being walked all over and the latter is not much fun at all. It is a balancing act that can absolutely get you into trouble if you cross it. We have learned not to take things personally and that usually takes the edge away from ourselves when dealing with an aggressive situation. It may sound simple but it has been the hardest lesson we have ever had to learn but once we did, it then becomes easier to be sweet to others, which usually allows them to stop being so rude. Doesn’t always work but at least we no longer allow it to fester within our hearts and ruin the rest of our day and most importantly does not ruin the rest of our encounters we meet.
Don’t forget to vote for our article, “Planes of Fame” as the Readers Choice at Road Trip Journal for your chance to win a $100 gas card and if we get enough votes, we get one too.
