We Should Be Used to this By Now...

These have been a rough few months for us and things just do not seem to be getting any better no matter how hard we try to get them back on track. Several major issues with both vehicles and the cost has deflated our funds that were already low. Most of the band-aids we had to put on them just are not holding, it has been a bit challenging to say the least. We will get this all figured out and it will all work out eventually.

Maggie did get new rear brakes due to them beginning to squeal in Las Vegas. When we went to a repair shop there, even without them taking off the wheels to look at it, they claimed we would need a few thousand dollars for repair. We did not have it, so we put a band-aid on and just hoped it would hold until we got to Yuma and make more money for this repair. We got to Yuma safe without any issues, but it was still squealing so we made an appointment for after the show. We were not concerned since Maggie would be sitting while we worked. We are blessed that we did not allow the shop in Vegas to work on her, once we got to the repair shop in Yuma, we knew we were in safe hands.

310 Auto Works (aka 310 Diesel Works) both located at the same address…3222 S Florence Lane, Yuma, AZ 85365…928-344-3517.

We highly recommend them for all your vehicle repairs, not only did they replace more than Vegas quoted us but it was half the price to do it. Maggie had her rear brakes completely redone on both sides and even with waiting on parts from another city, it was completed in 6 hours. Vegas said they would need to keep her for days. We are grateful we found this business and as stated before, we HIGHLY recommend them for all your vehicle repairs when in the area.

While we waited for the repairs to get completed we decided to take a little drive and wash May but then still had lots of time to spare so we went to the Yuma Main Library. It has been years since either one of us had been to a library but what better place to hang out that was air conditioned, a bathroom, plenty of reading material and FREE! Jerry met a new friend…

We have been expanding our cooking skills and love the new recipes we are creating. It has been great working at Sam’s in the early mornings when they mark down their meat prices, we get great cuts for a lot cheaper. Here are just some of the meals we have made…

While we relax in Earp, we took a drive over the Parker Dam. Something we have been wanting to do for a very long time but was unable to because they do not allow RV’s, trucks or trailers. We understand why now since we went over it and it was tight in our car. The area is so spectacular for views, everywhere you go there is something gorgeous to see, that is why we love this area and continue coming back all the time. The weather is fantastic during the winter and spring months, not so much in the Summer or early Fall but we try to stay out of the area during those hot months.

More relaxation and new recipes to make for the next few days until we head to Bullhead City for our next stint at Sam's, we will be working both companies at this location.

I have always loved libraries for all the reasons you mentioned. We don't physically go to libraries much anymore, but we get free library e-books from several libraries.

So glad Maggie got fixed for a better price and less time. What are you pushing at Sams? Love the Red Chef's hat on Jerry!!!
