2016 Update - They had a winter special so we paid $41.16 per night by staying 4 nights. Unfortunately we were still sick with the crud so we stayed indoors for all of our visit. Also, when we first checked in they sent us to a site with a huge tree and we DO NOT do trees anymore so we asked to be moved. The first night a storm came through and several trees came down, a few on top of RV's so we were so glad that we spoke up.
There was plenty of security
patrol going around which took care of some of the barking dogs that continued
to yap while we tried to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.
We had heard great reviews
about this place for a long time and we had intended to stay way back when we
first began full time traveling but just never made it a stop. We are certainly glad we finally made it here
because this place has everything you would need to have a great experience.
Laundry facilities were
exquisite and the restrooms were kept immaculate.
There is a fully stocked
store with ice, beverages of all kind, food, ice cream, RV supplies, anything
you may have forgotten to bring.
There is plenty for the kids
to do while here at the campground, they have bike rentals, a game room, a huge
TV room, Miniature Golf, the pool and so much more.
They even have a restaurant
onsite, Pismo Coast Village Grill that offers all sorts of items, from omelets
and skillets for breakfast, to burgers and other sandwiches for lunch, to some
pretty tasty seafood and BBQ entrees for dinner. They even offer free delivery to your
campsite.
The area has so much to offer
too, including the beach and we have a separate blog for our ride into town.
We would definitely stay here
if we are ever in the area again. This
is one of those places that can almost get away with charging these high
California rates since it really has it all. The scenery is spectacular!

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Pismo Coast Village Resort. It's a popular place! The prices are a bit cheaper during the non-prime times, basically October through May with exceptions for Easter/spring break and Christmas/New Year. North Beach State Park just south of PCV has no hookups or wifi, but it "only" costs $35/ night to stay there.
When you mentioned the price I kinda cringed a little, but the security dealing with the yappy dogs would work for me.
Well worth the money.
Of course, any time I read about Pismo Beach I think of Margie and Bruce....
Can't be helped I suppose.
Feel the same way Bob, they were in our thoughts during the time we were there.
What a shame for such a tragic event for such a very idiotic reason! We learned from that experience to enjoy each and every moment as if it could be our last moments of our lives. Been working for us since we are having the time of our lives!
I love Pismo Beach BUT $66 a night is more than I'd want to pay even for that place.
